I've never been the kind of photographer that did a lot of post-processing. Since I learned to shoot on film cameras, and didn't have darkroom access except for one amazing semester at UF, I had to learn to get things right in-camera. That translated into my digital experience as well. Though I own Photoshop CS5 (and will soon be upgrading to CC), I use it mostly for minor edits and to add my watermark to my photos.
Recently, I discovered www.prettyactions.com. I joined a Facebook group and lurked a bit, then made some investments. Their newest action set is the Pure Color Workflow, which is on sale until Sunday. I love it. I applied some of the actions to another shot of Alexis that I LOVED the original simple edits on, and love it even more with some simple actions applied. So maybe I'm not as anti-Photoshop as I thought I was. :)
